

There's no CMOS battery for me to remove to default the BIOS. I just cant believe you can disable every means of getting back into the BIOS. They did have to do with secure boot, as well as some USB options. Unfortunately I turned off a few options at the same time, and I dont remember what they were. And the onboard keyboard/USB ports were working before hand. I've verified my USB keyboard is working and such. I cant use the keyboard or any peripherals plugged into the USB ports. So the laptop still boots up, into Windows. I should have researched all the options I was disabling or switching, but I really didnt think that I would have disabled the keyboard along with all the USB ports.

Upon trying to configure its BIOS/UEFI to boot from USB, I did just the opposite with terrible consequences, it seems.

I have an iView Maximus Windows 10 tablet. In this case you will have to de-solder your battery and solder it to the new logic board. Others you might find are missing just the battery. If you look online you may be able to find someone selling the logic board with all the parts attached to it already. The logic board is slightly difficult to replace because it could involve soldering. If the display is working but the device wont boot up, then the logic board may be the problem since it passes and processes all information to the display and from the touchscreen. The digitizer and LCD display are not fused together on this device, so this is a fairly easy fix.Ģ. If it is not damaged, then you may have a faulty display and it will need to be replaced. If the display is not working, open the back of your device and check if the ribbon cable running from the display to the logic board is securely in place and not damaged. Does anything show on the screen when you try to turn it on?ġ. If your device still does not turn on, it is possible you have a problem with the display. It takes a little while to complete the reset. Then press the "Power" button to hard reset the tablet.īe patient. When in recovery mode use the "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons to navigate and highlight what option you need. Once you can see the logo, release the buttons and allow the device to enter the "System Recovery Mode". (If this doesn't do anything try Power + Volume Down or Power + Volume Down + Volume Up - all 3 together)Ģ. It will restore the tablet to its' factory default condition.

As it is a new tablet, you shouldn't have too much personal data or downloaded apps stored on it yet, so you could try the standard Android hard reset.īe aware that a hard reset will erase all your data and downloaded apps.
